Visualisation is a really common technique for behavioural change. By imagining yourself acting in new ways, you prepare your mind for acting that way in the future. For example, if you want to go to the gym more often, imagine yourself getting into your car and driving to the gym as well as imagining your workout in as much detail as possible.
