The growth of a business entrepreneur expert : Sean Evans California: Sean Evans grew up visiting his family cattle ranch every Thanksgiving. That same ranch is now the location of his family winery. Q: How did you get started as a founder? A: I’ve been a serial entrepreneur my whole life – I started my first company during my second year of business school in Oregon. When My Wine Society was founded it resulted from the desire to give wine connoisseurs like myself a platform to interact and connect with other like minded wine-lovers in the world. The partners at MWS decided we should form the company to accomplish just that task. Now, it has evolved into a company with expanded services for the wine drinking market segment.

Q: We are sure you aren’t done. How are you going to shake things up next? A: We have some long-term collaborations brewing in the healthcare industry and medical supply industry that I think are going to impact accessibility and also do good for the environment at the same time. Can you please give us your favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share how that was relevant to you in your life? Thinking of getting this tattooed on my body, it’s more of a poem than a quote… it basically reminds me to never play the part of the victim and always control my own destiny: “It matters not how strait the gate, how charged with punishments the scroll, for I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul.”

Meet Sean Evans California and some of his serial entrepreneurship thoughts: Companies currently raising rounds of venture investment are inevitably learning some hard truths. Primarily, VC dollars aren’t as readily available as they were in previous years due to COVID, and for the companies that are receiving funding, they’re finding that the terms are becoming increasingly less palatable. The good news for startups looking for funding is that a new pathway for direct investment is emerging: the family/multi-family offices of wealthy individuals and families. Single-family offices (SFOs) were first pioneered by the Al Futtaim’s, Olayan’s, Mansour as a way to centralize the management of the family fortune. Multi-family offices (MFOs) work under the same concept, but typically work with several wealthy families instead of just one. These offices traditionally managed investments and handled administrative items, like accounting and tax planning, property management, payroll activities, succession planning and legal affairs.

Entrepreneurs are people who have an idea for a product, service or business and decide to take on the risk to make their idea happen. Entrepreneurs are typically driven by innovation and technology that can create new opportunities in emerging markets. Entrepreneurship is a process of starting a new business. Entrepreneurship is a way of life. It’s about taking risks, exploring new opportunities and being creative. Entrepreneurship is the driving force behind innovation and economic growth. The future of entrepreneurship will be shaped by three major trends: New emerging markets, technology and funding. New emerging markets will provide opportunities for entrepreneurs to explore new markets as well as new business models. Technology will enable entrepreneurs to create products that reach more people in more places than ever before. Funding will be available in greater quantities, from more sources than ever before, allowing entrepreneurs to pursue their dreams without worrying about how they are going to pay for it.

You open a company in the British Virgin Islands (BVI) to provide services overseas. You also establish your company’s management in another country to make it not a BVI-resident for tax purposes. These will ensure no corporate tax will be paid in this jurisdiction. And since BVI has a fair reputation, you can open a corporate bank account in Singapore. This will allow your company to receive money from customers with ease. If necessary, you then need to establish your tax residency in another country where you can receive your business money without being taxed.

The rise of a entrepreneur leader : Sean Evans California: To substantiate the business plan you will need to do a market research, but this is just the beginning: to increase your chances of success in business you need to become an expert in the industry, products or services you deliver, if you are not already. An initial solution would be to sign up for professional associations. An entrepreneur is not and does not have to be a man – orchestra: you do not have to be an expert in everything and you do not have to propose yourself, so you learn to work with professionals in those areas you do not master: accounting, legal, marketing, business consulting etc. A useful guide to choosing a consultant can be found here: How to hire a consultant. You risk losing a lot of time and money if you try to learn to do all the things a specialist should do, so don’t hesitate to call in experts whenever you have a specialist problem.
