Searching for Pet Reiki services in Colorado? Meet Gillian, a certified Canine Therapeutic Massage Therapist (CTMT) Advanced Canine Massage Therapist (ACMT) and a member of International Association of Animal Massage & Body Works (IAAMB). She is working with other practitioners and the animal’s veterinarians to achieve optimal physical, mental and emotional health and well-being.

We all love petting our dogs, so why not turn it into a great massage session? Spending quality time with your dog (or each of your dogs, if you have more than one) is important to keep your bond strong. We want our dogs to trust us with their lives as we provide for them, so making them feel comfortable being around us is important. Even the most independent dogs wants to spend time with their humans, and most dogs love a good scratch or belly rub. Why not turn it into some quality massage time?

Animals don’t always tell us what we want to hear but they do tell us what we need to hear. As an experienced animal communicator, Gillian possesses a unique ability to talk with animals — hearing, seeing and understanding an animal’s thoughts and feelings, and can deeply tune in to what an animal is trying to express. While animal communication is not a substitute for traditional veterinary care, it can be used to enrich relationships and bonds between animals and their owners. It can be used as a form of distance or in-person healing and can be applied to many situations including health problems, general check-ins, improving pet-owner bonds, behavioral issues, aging, end-of-life decisions and much more. A session of Reiki for dogs is a bit different. For starters, dogs aren’t usually apt to hop up on a massage table and lie quietly on their back for an hour. They may also prefer to receive Reiki from a distance, like across the room, rather than have the practitioner touch them. A good way to start is for the practitioner to sit on the floor with the dog in the room. Invite the dog to share in the Reiki session if the dog so desires.

Before selecting a Reiki practitioner, you would need to determine whether an in-person or remote healing session would be best for your dog. Of note is that Reiki can be done remotely only by a level three Reiki Master. To become a Reiki Master you first need to be attuned by an existing Reiki Master, learn all of the activation symbols and practice for many months or years to get comfortable and confident with the process. However, a level one or level two Reiki practitioner can provide in-person, hands-on healing. Because Reiki consists of the same Universal Life Energy that makes every living thing alive, any living thing can be helped by Reiki energy. Reiki works throughout the body and each chakra to create a positive energy flow and remove any energy blockages that may exist.

While it’s sometimes difficult to communicate within our own species, this client was hitting a wall when it came to understanding what her dog and cat were trying to tell her. “Gillian is great and really knows how to connect to my loves!! She hit it right on the nail how my dog Roxie and cat Gracie interact with each other, and told me things that just confirmed how I read my own animals. It really is great to hear what your animals have to say. Next time I am lost with what they need or want, I will definitely reach out to her for a reading.” Source: https://fourpawsholistictherapy.com/.
